SEPT 7-10 2023
Welcome to the 7th Annual Camp Bacon
This is a weekend full of fun, games, tasty bevies, a great people, we do our best to make it as easy as possible but as with all camps you’ll need to roll up your sleeves from time to time. Think of it as a self serve camp, we provide the facility, bunks, cook and firewood, you provide the rest. Our goal is an affordable weekend where you get to do what you want.

The Basics
Activities
We have a few large team events scheduled for the weekend, we encourage you to bring your own games and ideas as well: Bocé ball, board games, softball… We are located on an amazing property, we encourage everyone to go explore and play outside.
Accommodations
Cabins have power and heat, they sleep 8 on 4 bunk beds. There is only a mattress so make sure you bring blankets/sleeping bag and a pillow. It’s also a good idea to bring ear plugs for those nighttime lumberjacks sawing logs. If you want to bunk with someone make note of it when you buy your tickets, we’ll do our best to accommodate.
Meals
Meals will be provided and we’ll be taking turns cooking the meals Allergies can be accommodated for please let us know in advance.
Bevies
BYOB, bring ice if you need it. Coolers work best for easy access but we can also keep drinks cold in the big fridge/freezer.
What You Can Expect
Arrival & Registration
unpack and grab a drink
Make sure you save the pin in your phone and have Andy or Bre’s number in your phone. When you first arrive check in with the main lodge and see what cabin # you are in, plus pickup your swag if you ordered any. Feel free to drive around the loop to your cabin and drop off your stuff, please park in the lot by the main lodge. Please do not drive on the grass near the cabins.
Summer in Alberta
you never know what you're gonna get
First year we had a unexpected blizzard, we have moved it earlier in the year, but you never know what to expect out of Alberta weather. So please make sure you prep and bring warm stuff as we hope to spend a lot of time outside.
Elbow Grease
it's a group effort
In the spirit of community we’re not one for lot’s of rules, but it’s a great thing when everyone is helping out and lending a hand. There are no butlers or maids here, we have some amazing hired cooks in the kitchen but we’re gonna need your help in prep and cleaning. Expect to help prep and clean the dishes at least once.
Bring to share
sharing is caring
Look at these fine folk taking part in the traditional jello shot prepped by non-other then by the O’Meara’s. Think about what you can bring to share, be it a game, snack, glowsticks or a campfire song.
